In my pursuit of what it means to be an artist (and the day I may confidently assume that title), I hope to examine the inexorable, incomprehensible passage of time. With each moment passing into the next, we’re faced with the unthinkable inevitability of forgetting, the impossible task of remembering, and the inconceivable prospect that we will never be the same. With my work, I hope to explore this fundamental falling-apart-at-the-edges of our consciousness: the fleeting sense of stability offered by the past, and the elusiveness of the present before the vast expanse of what lies ahead.
